44 killed in Philippine earthquake 
At least 44 people, including school children were killed on Monday after a severe 6.8 magnitude quake hit the third-largest island in the Philippines and causing buildings to collapse and shutting down power supply.
Pak SC suspends election of 28 lawmakers 
Pakistan's Supreme Court on Monday, including three ministers, elected under an incomplete Election Commission, reflecting the continuing tensions between the government and the judiciary.

No Israel decision on attacking Iran: Obama 
United States President Barack Obama has said that Israel has not made a decision yet on attacking Iran's nuclear installations, noting that he still prefers to use diplomacy.
12 killed as Syrian forces bombard Homs: activists 
Syrian forces launched a fresh bombardment of powderkeg city Homs at dawn on Monday, killing at least 12 people and wounding many more, activists and correspondents said.
